Creating local solutions rooted in trees, landscapes, and communities.

If ever there was a greater sign of hope for the future, it’s the act of planting a tree.

It all starts with a conversation …

What if …

Every forestry conversation starts with a conversation and a question. What if …? How can we …? Is this possible?

That question is the start of an idea, a dream, thought process that leads us to somewhere exciting.

See it

From a basic question we can move together to sketching out what is impossible … and sometimes what we might consider impossible. Drawing out the realms of what is conventional, and looking over the fence to something better.

Grow it

Then comes the hard work, after the endless conversations, the design, and re-design, the 5th iteration of the vision, it comes time to put spade to dirt, and planting.

If there was ever a greater act of hope, it is the planting of a tree in this time of uncertainty.

Small Woodlands

AS you travel around the country, you will see a multitude of small woods and forests. These offer unique opportunities for small forest owners and local communities, but are often too small for conventional, productive management. We specialise in working with you to get the most out of these types of woodlands.

Community Woodlands

Communities are like families, with all the passion, love, and disagreement that comes with the title. Many are blessed to neighbour or even their own woodlands. With small woodlands and communities, the possibilities are endless, but reality can be more constraining. We can help you make sense of the realistic and viable options and help make these a reality.

Conservation Forestry

We are truly blessed with some of the most beautiful and vibrant forests in the UK, full of specialist species found nearly nowhere else. But many of these forest types are under threat or degrading and need help to re-establish and thrive in the landscape. We can help you plan and map out a plan to restoration.

"There can be no purpose more enspiriting than to begin the age of restoration, reweaving the wondrous diversity of life that still surrounds us.”
